Day 9 - 11 - Beach Time

Today we woke up to sunshine and peace and quiet. It took until 9 for the sun to warm up the beach enough to sit outside, but we had the beach completely to ourselves, except for a family from Twickenham! There were sellers on the beach selling fresh fish. We got some sardines and some fish that sounded like Broca. You normally have to pay more to get the fish filleted and cleaned, but the seller happened to be Philemon's (yesterdays driver) brother, so he did it for free and showed Matt how.

At 10 we met Pedro, and he walked with us into town to show us some cheaper/better value shops for buying bread and various bits. He was also telling us about a python that eats monkies nearby, so we won't be going anywhere near that!!!

...

Not much has happened since then to be honest. We've cooked fish, prawns, pork, chicken and sardines on the BBQ. Watched a few movies. Eaten some biscuits. Played mini golf, pool, table football, and paddled around on a sit on double sit on top kayak.

  1. TWICKENHAM! How weird is that? But it sounds lovely and relaxing.
